Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PricingCanary website and service (the “Service”), operated by PricingCanary (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can bind that company to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of your agreement with us.
2. The Service
PricingCanary is a pricing intelligence service. It monitors the public pricing pages of competitors you choose, verifies detected changes twice, and sends alerts with an AI-generated impact analysis. We also offer free pricing teardowns and public pricing histories for companies.
Features and limits depend on your plan, for example the number of competitors you can monitor or the number of teardowns per day. Current plans are described on our pricing page.
3. Eligibility and accounts
The Service is meant for business and professional use. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
You agree to give accurate information when you sign up and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us quickly at hello@pricingcanary.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Team owners are responsible for the people they invite to their team.
4. Free trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card is required to start.
If you do not add a payment method before the trial ends, the trial subscription ends and your account moves to the free plan, which has reduced limits (for example 1 monitored competitor and 3 teardowns per day). Features that are only included in Pro stop working until you subscribe.
If you subscribe, billing starts when you choose a paid plan. We may limit the trial to one per person or company to prevent abuse.
5. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
Pro costs $49 per month or $399 per year, plus any applicable taxes. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change, see section 17.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. You are not charged again after you cancel.
Fees are non-refundable. We do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused time, unless the law that applies to you requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us at hello@pricingcanary.com and we will look into it.
If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is resolved.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and fairly. You must not:
- ask the Service to access content you are not allowed to access, or use it to bypass logins, paywalls, or technical protections
- submit URLs that point to private, internal, or non-public systems
- overload, disrupt, or attempt to break the Service or its infrastructure, including with automated requests
- reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Service, except where the law allows it
- resell, redistribute, or republish data from the Service, or use it to build a competing product
- share your account with people outside your team or share your credentials
- use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others, or to break any law
We may remove content or limit use that breaks these rules.
7. Monitored websites and public data
You choose the URLs you want to monitor. You are responsible for those choices and for making sure your use of the resulting data is lawful.
PricingCanary only retrieves publicly available pricing pages, the same pages any visitor can open. We do not log in to third-party sites. Third-party websites, brands, and content belong to their owners, and we claim no rights in them.
If you are a site owner and want a page removed from monitoring, contact us at hello@pricingcanary.com.
8. AI-generated analysis
Parts of the Service, such as price extraction and impact analysis, are produced with AI. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
The Service is informational. It is not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Check important information against the original source before you act on it.
We verify each change twice, but we do not guarantee that every pricing change will be detected, detected on time, or reported correctly. A page may change, load, or block access in ways we cannot control.
9. Customer data, privacy and security
You keep ownership of the data you put into the Service, such as your account details and the competitors you track. You give us the right to process it only to run and improve the Service for you.
How we collect, use, store, and delete personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Our security measures are described on our Security page. You can export your data and delete your account from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
10. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes while these Terms apply.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment.
11. Public pages
Some content produced by the Service may be public. This includes pricing teardowns and company pricing histories on /track pages. These pages show information taken from public pricing pages, not your private account data.
Your private monitors, alerts, and account details are not published.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may run maintenance, and outages can happen, including those caused by our providers.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance when we reasonably can.
13. Termination and suspension
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, put the Service or other users at risk, fail to pay, or if the law requires it. When we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, stay in effect.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend and compensate us against claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breach of these Terms, from the URLs you ask us to monitor, or from your misuse of the Service. This applies where the law allows it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email or with a notice on the site before the changes take effect.
If you keep using the Service after the new Terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where PricingCanary is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and nothing in these Terms removes them.
